  • AT&S wins the “Small & Mid Cap” category
  • 280 distinguished guests at the award ceremony at Kursalon Vienna

The annual awards for listed companies in Austria were presented for the eighth time on Tuesday evening: A specialist jury of the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management (ÖVFA) assessed the performance of the enterprises in three categories and chose the winners. AT&S AG, the leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards, is the winner of the “Small& Mid Cap” category of the Wiener Börse Award 2015. The specialist jury awarded AT&S the first place in this category because of its outstanding performance in 2014, its excellent investor support and its high liquidity.

“Those who emphasise transparency and attach great importance to providing a professional insight into the company, its strategy and orientation will not just be rewarded by a good share performance. With the Wiener Börse Award, we aim to point out and award the exemplary commitment of companies listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange,” Vienna Stock Exchange Board members Birgit Kuras and Michael Buhl explained.

Andreas Gerstenmayer, Chairman of the Management Board of AT&S AG, emphasised at the award ceremony: „I consider this award an acknowledgement of the path we took several years ago towards open, transparent and honest capital market communication. The capital market in Austria lives through its many hidden champions and global players like AT&S. Initiatives like this award highlight the performance of these companies, but also underscore the importance of a functioning capital market.”

The most important award for listed corporations in Austria was presented in the presence of some 280 distinguished guests from business and politics at the Vienna Kursalon. Finance Minister Hans Jörg Schelling emphasised in his key note speech: “Good communication and transparency call attention to the achievements of our companies, also internationally, and to our well-functioning capital market. The companies listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange provide an important impetus for the labour market, innovation and, at the end of the day, also for prosperity in Austria.”

Other winners: Österreichische Post AG won the “ATX” category. The “Corporate Bond” category went to OMV AG and voestalpine AG was awarded the “Journalist Prize”. For more information on the Wiener Börse Award click here.
