Module: Automation Technology

What you will be doing

• Set up, start up and test measuring equipment, components and assemblies of control technology, bus systems, mechatronics machines and devices as well as pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems
• Maintain and service equipment and machinery
• Other activities of the Automation Technology module apprenticeship
• Perform work in compliance with safety regulations, standards, environmental and quality standards.

What you will be doing

• Prepare measuring procedures and measuring equipment, maintain measuring devices

What you will be doing

• Conduct analyses including preparation of samples
• Use laboratory devices and laboratory equipment
• Approve tests and evaluate analysis results
• Apply analytical methods such as titrations, photometry, cyclic voltammetry
• Carry out calibration and maintenance activities
• Perform work in compliance with the relevant standards as well as quality, safety and environmental standards

What you will be doing

• Extracting and cross-sectioning samples from printed circuit boards (milling, grinding and polishing machines, etc.)
• Check the accuracy of our production processes using the prepared samples (measuring layer thickness, bore diameters, …)
• Examine quality and/or customer requirements of finished products (prepare micrographs and test reports) – “The laboratory is the extended arm of the customer”
• Document and pass on test results and measuring data
• Check and adjust physical measuring equipment

Module: Operating Technology

 What you will be doing

• Administer, design and expand information systems
• Analyse, isolate and troubleshoot faults and errors for production systems
• Prepare documentation and record technical data on the installation of the software specifically used in production
• Create and optimise database enquiries, and create and administer databases
• Record requirements; design, implement and test applications

What you should bring

What you will be doing

• Read wiring, circuit and assembly plans, and partially also prepare them yourself
• Install and set up control cabinets with fuses/breakers
• Install, test and commission cables, lines and supporting systems
• Maintain and repair systems of electrical building services and of electrical machines, devices and systems
• Ensure power supply of buildings and install systems

Module: Wastewater

What you will be doing

• You will work in all areas of wastewater disposal and treatment

• Operate, maintain and repair wastewater devices, machinery and equipment
• Proper maintenance of records, databases and manuals
