With the working time model, you attend the school-leaving certificate courses during your working hours. During the day – directly at the company – you sit in the lecture theatre for five hours a week, study for your exams and get paid for it. This does not extend your apprenticeship period. And it’s all free of charge.

Module: Mechanical Engineering

As a metal technician at AT&S, you will be involved in the exciting process of PCB production and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of precision and production machines.

  • Extracting and cross-sectioning samples from printed circuit boards (milling, grinding and polishing machines, etc.)

  • Examine quality and/or customer requirements of finished products (prepare micrographs and test reports) – “The laboratory is the extended arm of the customer”
