The new AT&S Research & Development Center in Leoben creates 700 jobs with a wide range of career opportunities. A broad communication campaign will attract talent from different areas for the future-oriented large-scale project at the AT&S company headquarters.
With the R&D center for IC substrates, which will go into operation in 2024, AT&S is currently building an innovation center unique in Europe at the Leoben-Hinterberg site. Seven hundred new jobs in high-tech engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, production control, and front-end technology offer exciting career opportunities for people with different qualifications and skills – from apprentices to experienced specialists to highly qualified technology experts.
With the #startnow campaign, AT&S is implementing a broad-based communication campaign to address future employees who want to help shape the future. A nationwide poster campaign, digital information, and advertising measures in Austria and Germany, as well as road shows and trade fair appearances in Europe, are part of the campaign.
Broad audience approach
Gerald Reischl, Director of Communications & Public Relations, sees potential on several levels in the offensive: “AT&S is a key player on the international market regarding future-oriented microelectronic systems and printed circuit boards. As an employer, we use the relevance and smartness of our products to address talented people enthusiastic about innovation via various channels. In this way, we can support our recruitment through communication measures and at the same time increase brand awareness.”

The #startnow campaign does not work with models but presents real “Faces of AT&S”: people who enthusiastically recommend their employer. An internal call for testimonials brought a lot of feedback and enabled the authentic poster motifs that can be seen in Styria from mid-September.
