More Than a Decade of Dedication – Evian Tang
“This is my 11th year with the company, and it’s the longest I’ve ever stayed in one place,” Evian Tang says. “There were temptations along the way, but looking back, I’m glad I stayed.” And so are we at AT&S.
Evian Tang’s professional journey started with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. Before joining AT&S, she gained extensive experience working for French, American, and China’s state-owned companies.
Her career at AT&S began with an unexpected call from a headhunter ten years ago. “At that time, one of my ex-colleagues was already working at AT&S. She spoke highly of the company, and as I researched more, I realized it was a global leader in high-tech industry,” Evian recalls.
“My interest in this industry and the company’s strong reputation led me to join.”
Leading Finance across the Asia Pacific Region
Today, Evian holds the position of Director Finance Asia Pacific and also serves as a Board Director for AT&S Chongqing and Japan. Her responsibilities span multiple regions, overseeing financial operations across APAC, Chongqing, Shanghai, Japan, and Taiwan. Her key roles include managing the finance teams, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, monitoring tax planning, managing credit risk, and driving continuous improvements in internal procedures and workflows.
A Golden Period of Growth
Over the last decade, Evian has experienced significant personal and professional growth at AT&S. “I’ve grown from Finance Manager to Senior Finance Manager and now Finance Director. The company even sponsored my further studies for a master’s degree,” Evian explains. “These ten years have been the golden period of my career development.”
Overcoming Challenges with Team Support
One of the biggest challenges Evian faced came after the implementation of a cost efficiency project. Her responsibilities expanded across multiple regions, from Chongqing to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. “I had to quickly get up to speed with new teams and responsibilities while dealing with the departure of senior colleagues,” she recalls.
To overcome these obstacles, Evian relied on her core team. “We carefully analyzed the urgent problems, restructured tasks, and worked together to ensure a smooth transition. The support and collaboration of my team were crucial in overcoming this challenge.”
A Decade of Dedication
In an industry known for rapid changes and new opportunities, Evian’s commitment to AT&S is remarkable. She attributes that to several key factors. “I love the company’s culture and atmosphere. It encourages innovation, open-mindedness, and genuinely cares about its employees, creating a strong sense of belonging,” she explains.
“I also take pride in AT&S’s position as an industry leader. Every achievement feels like a personal victory.”
Lastly, Evian highlights the people she works with as one of the main reasons for her loyalty. “Whether it’s my boss, peers, or subordinates, everyone is committed to doing their best. Working with such a dedicated and talented group of people makes every challenge worth it.”
